By Grace through Faith

Scars need to heal–God’s incredible grace enables us to make it, no matter what. It’s there to pick us up, revive lost hope, to heal broken bones and to strengthen our weak will. God’s grace is never inadequate , nor depleted. We should abandon our own efforts of building walls around ourselves and trust Him to work things out for us .  There are times when we want to let go,  but the old scars just won’t seem to heal. A song, a phrase, a place, something opens the wound again. Try as we might, we can’t find the right bandage for the scar. So we began to build this wall around ourselves, again. Brick by brick and make sure that our safety latch is on really tight–“this time”. We left it a little loose, thinking it was safe but somehow pain and disappointment got in again. So” this time”, we will only peer over and look at the world, we won’t step outside and won’t let anyone in. We keep telling ourselves “it’s easier this way, no disappointments and no one can hurt me if I just stay behind my wall and keep putting on layers of concrete. I’ll just stay here behind my little wall. There’s no space for anyone else, it’s only big enough for me and me alone.” The truth is we’re not there alone. Bitterness still lives there, pain never left, packed up a few times, but never quite made it to the door, fear said, “i am definitely not leaving and hid under the bed, loneliness is in the corner, doubt and insecurity is still there, anger is right next to the bed, regret is also there by the window each morning watching the world. That’s when we need the grace of God to cover us so the scars can heal. God’s Word promises us in 2 Corinthians 12:9But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”  Romans 8:26-27 teaches us: In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness the Spirit himself intercedes for the saints in accordance to God’s will. He promises to give us better than before. We just have to be ready and open to receive our blessings. Forgive all, including yourself and let the healing process begin. Tear down the wall. God’s grace is sufficient  for every area of our life, if we just believe and claim the promises of His Word.. God’s grace will guide and direct us, carry our burdens and sorrow, provide for us and never leave us alone. When we are weary His grace will refresh, give us joy over our sadness, strength over our weakness, healing for our pain and sickness, He will give us comfort and a shield in times of trouble. Let’s face it God loves us:)

Isaiah 54:10

10 Though the mountains be shaken

and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken
nor my covenant of peace be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion on you
