Faith in Action

In the midst of a world filled chaos and confusion , we keep our faith in the Lord and we have peace. We have hope, we live a life of expectancy. Our lives are filled with joy, even when others feel that we should be sad. It’s because we know that our Heavenly Father is with us and with Him all things are possible. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. It’s because we walk by faith and not by sight ((2 Corinthians 4:18; Hebrews 11:1; Romans 8:25). For most of us this didn’t come easy, we had to keep falling, stumbling through our mess, blinded by sin. The longer we were blinded the darker things became. I am thankful that even then God did not leave us, instead He opened our eyes to the truth.

Have you ever seen those who will not drive down a street because a black cat crossed, or will not walk under a ladder, afraid of Friday the 13th, or those that walk around with a rabbit’s foot, etc ? -. Well you get the message. These superstitions were taught and believed generation after generation. This was truly the work of the enemy to keep us fearful, blind and bound, and to cause us not to trust in God. Belief that a rabbit’s foot, can save you, but the God that made you and the rabbit cannot? The black cat can cause you harm, but God the Creator of all, our deliverer, our keeper, our Shepherd is not able to save us from the cat? The devil is a liar!! Where we were lost we are now found, where we were once blind, we can now see. John 9:1-11. When we put our faith in God all things become possible.

2 Corinthians 4:18

18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Hebrews 11:1

11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see

Romans 8:25

25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

Be blessed, keep God first, and keep looking up.
