(Only 15 days left to get the shopping done). Hot item for our students, (or extra for the home) the touch screen laptop, just bought one, got a really great deal!! Someone is going to be surprised .
As we see the decorations go up, the overly crowded malls, the little clues/notes that our kids leave us,… the snow, lol….we know that Christmas is almost here!!
Giving gifts, spending time with family, friends and loved ones are great, I love it!!
During this Holiday season as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ-Lets remind/ teach our children of the importance of our internal gifts- that our acts of kindness, forgiveness, generosity, and our willingness to go out of our way to offer help to others glorifies God. Even though there is a lot of giving during this season, this should not be a once of year act that we show others, but an everyday practice. We do not have to do great, noble and noticeable acts for our lives to glorify God. He will be glorified through our simple acts of love and obedience, whatever they are, wherever we are. Share with them the real reason for the Christmas Holiday, it’s far better than any material gift that we could ever give, or any secular decoration that we could ever display- The birth of Jesus , the gift of love. Besides, if we can;t have love for each other, how can we possibly have love for our Heavenly Father?
1 John 4:20
English Standard Version (ESV)
20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot[a] love God whom he has not seen.
Be blessed, keep God first, and keep looking up.
