Our love for God, and our relationship with Him should and will have to be stronger than our hatred/dislike for a person that is our enemy or a person that has caused us harm? If we had to categorize our love for others, would it be “because of” love, “if” love, or “in spite” of love?  When anger, guilt and other negative feelings enter into our hearts and minds, we should quickly cast those things at the feet of Jesus. Hatred is not a burden that we want to carry, so let it go, otherwise we will give room to the devil and he’ll always know what buttons to push, and will use that as a control factor. The enemy’s mission is simple, it’s  to kill, steal and destroy. However, we have an advocate, a strong tower,  a Savior, His name is Jesus and He leads us beside quiet, peaceful waters (Psalm 23). The Word of God teaches us that when the enemy comes in like a flood the Lord will rise a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19). Pray and seek God for His strength, His guidance,  His peace, and to teach us to how to love when evil tries to make us hate. Learning and practice loving as God loves is a great, not only for ourselves, but also for our children. Love is a powerful weapon, use it- in spite of.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5

4 For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. 5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,

1 John 4:8

8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Be blessed, keep God first, and keep looking up.
