A Clean Heart

Create in Me a Clean Heart, O God

When we go into prayer for others, or ask God to fix another person’s life/lifestyle, let’s be mindful of our own short comings, and what’s going on in our lives, or in our households. Ask God to search and fix us, take the plank out of our eyes first (Matt 7:5 and Luke 6:42). Get rid of guilt consciousness by asking our Heavenly Father for forgiveness, otherwise it’s like serving food with dirty hands and on dirty dishes- yuk!!! Once we do that, then we can boldly go to the throne of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ( Hebrews 4:16), asking that He will give us the right words to speak, the right way to approach, and how to be a blessing in the lives of others.

Psalm 51

51 Have mercy on me,[a] O God,
    according to your steadfast love;
according to your abundant mercy
    blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin!

12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and uphold me with a willing spirit.

13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
and sinners will return to you.
14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God,
    O God of my salvation,
and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness.
15 O Lord, open my lips,
and my mouth will declare your praise.

Hebrews 4:16

16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Be blessed, keep God first, and keep looking up.
