Be Encouraged

Happy Blessed Wednesday!!!

The Word of God encourages us not to have fear, doubt or worry. Let’s face it worrying is not going to change anything. It only brings along it’s “cousins” called confusion, doubt, fear, strife and a big one called self destruction… None of these spirits are from God. Stop trying to unring that bell or trying to get into a door that has long since closed and the lock is on the other side. 2 Timothy 1:7 teaches us,the Spirit God that gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. We have peace, a sound mind because we know that Our Heavenly Father is our refuge and our strength. He is our Shepherd( Psalm 23). Stop making rushed decisions because of what things look like and rely on the promises of God (Proverbs 3:5-6). Most of us have had those “back against the wall” moments and we just don’t know what to do. His
word encourages us to learn to be still. Instead of worry give God praise and see” His” Salvation ( 2 Chronicles 20:17, Exodus 14:13,Psalm 46:10 ).

2 Chronicles 20:17-18

17 You will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.’ Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, and the Lord will be with you.”

18 Then Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the Lord, worshiping the Lord.

Be blessed, keep God first, and keep looking up.
