Do not become entangled again with someone/something that once held you in bondage. When God has set us free from something the chains fall off and we began to move forward. We give our lives to Christ accepting Him as our Lord and Savior, this is when we need to put into practice the scripture of “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ… 2 Corinthians 10:5 We need to set our minds on things above and not the things on earth. We need to daily feed our spirits with the Word of God to strengthen us against our flesh because our mind still remembers things that the heart isn’t ready to delete.. We have to ask God the Lord to purge our minds and hearts. Create in us a clean heart and give us a right spirit to sustain us. As believers in Christ it doesn’t mean that we never fall, we know that when we do fall it’s not into bondage, we fall into God’s grace. Don’t allow the enemy to use your mind as a place of bondage, cast all of those negative thoughts at the feet of Jesus because the Blood of Jesus has set us free.

Psalm 51:
10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
so that sinners will turn back to you.
14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
you who are God my Savior,
and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.
15 Open my lips, Lord,
and my mouth will declare your praise.
16 You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it;
you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.
17 My sacrifice, O God, is[b] a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart
you, God, will not despise.

Be blessed, keep God first and keep looking up,

Cheryl
