When looking to money/material items as the source of our happiness, problems will arise. God doesn’t want us to be poor, so it’s always wise to look to Him as our source and He will supply all our needs according to His riches in Glory in Christ Jesus (Phil 4:19) When we trust God as our source, we always live in overflow (Deuteronomy 28:1-14).
21 The lips of the righteous nourish many,
but fools die for lack of sense.
22 The blessing of the Lord brings wealth,
without painful toil for it.
23 A fool finds pleasure in wicked schemes,
but a person of understanding delights in wisdom.
God’s Word is clear, simple and to the point on profiting from wrong-doing. If you’re doing wrong things and being dishonest just to get money then you are placing a curse on yourself , your home and all that profit from it. Be watchful of what goes on in our lives, are things in our homes that were gotten dishonestly- if something is not right, set it right, it’s never too late to come to repentance. It’s up to us to be gatekeepers of our homes.
Treasures gained by wickedness do not profit, but righteousness delivers from death.
Such are the paths of all who go after ill-gotten gain; it takes away the life of those who get it
The greedy bring ruin to their households, but the one who hates bribes will live
5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.”
Be blessed, keep God first and keep looking up,
