The Word of God teaches us to live peaceful lives and pursue peace with others. The Word of God teaches us in Pro 4:23 to guard our hearts above all else, for it determines the course of our lives. We should also be mindful of our speech to and about others (Prov 8:21). There is a lot at stake in what we say, we can build up or we can destroy. Spending time with people filled with anger in their hearts is contagious and can affect our peace (Prov 22:24-25). Positive and happy people yield positive and happy fruit.
9 God blesses those who work for peace,
for they will be called the children of God.
Romans 14:19New International Version (NIV)
19 Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.
Psalm 34:13-15 (NLT)
13 Then keep your tongue from speaking evil
and your lips from telling lies!
14 Turn away from evil and do good.
Search for peace, and work to maintain it.
15 The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right;
his ears are open to their cries for help.
Be blessed, keep God first and keep looking up,
