“For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power, making it active, operative, energizing, and effective; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and the immortal spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 —-This is a very power- packed scripture, it teaches us that we can speak the Word of God over our family, finances, relationships, our community- over all of our circumstances and it will be made alive, whole, renewed, strengthened and protected. Isaiah 40:30-31 gives us a wonderful picture of the strength and power of the word of God that is offered to us when we trust, believe and receive. When we lose focus, get tired, confused, or when we become weary and no matter what we do things just aren’t happening for you. Remember the devil comes only to steal, kill and destroy. The enemy wants to steal our peace, our joy, and destroy our families. However in John 10:10 the Word of God gives us assurance that Jesus came so that we may have life and have it abundantly. Instead of arguing, complaining and fighting, try praying for each other. Stop speaking the problems and start speaking the Word of God only. Allow His Word to take over -that’s when we find peace and rest for our souls.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
31 but they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint.
Be blessed, keep God first, and keep looking up.
