Be Encouraged and Encourage Someone Else

Happy Blessed Thursday

God wants us to live life to the fullest, in overflow. To live happy, joyous, peaceful, protected and prosperous lives no matter what our circumstances are, the Word of God teaches us in Joshua 1:8 “to study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do”. Everyday we should first start with God, as in Matthew 6:33 tells us to first seek the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto us. Pray daily asking God to remove all blessing blockers out of our path, and that we will not be a blessing blocker to anyone else. Let’s keep our hearts and thoughts pure ( Prov 4:23, Luke 6:45, 2 Cor 10:5)). Our speech is equally important, so we need to keep our tongue under control (James 3: 1-12). Otherwise it can do so much damage. Sometimes it hard to hold our tongue and things just start pouring out, or we’re caught off guard and something  might slip, and there are times that we just talk too much. Nothing catches God by surprise. Psalm 141:3 teaches us to ask God to take control of what we say, and guard our lips.

Colossians 4:6(NIV)

Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Ephesians 4:25-29 (NLT)

25 So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body. 26 And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.”[a] Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 for anger gives a foothold to the devil.

28 If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need. 29 Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

Proverbs 18:21(NLT)

21 The tongue can bring death or life;
    those who love to talk will reap the consequences.

Be blessed, keep God first and keep looking up,

Cheryl
