Happy Blessed Wednesday
God gives peace and rest
When we find ourselves at crossroads, in a really tight spot and we feel that we just don’t know what to do. The devil will begin playing all types of scenario’s in your mind to make us afraid, bring about confusion anxiety and fear. None of that is from God, so immediately cast down imaginations and bring all thoughts under the authority of Christ (2 Cor 10:5). Never take the unrighteous -quick-fix way it will only leads to further disaster down the road. Never make hasty or pressured decisions, instead seek and trust God. He will show us the right paths. We can’t see around the corner or into the next hour, but God can and He is already there. The temptations in our life are no different from what others experience, God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than we can stand. When we are tempted, He will show us a way out so that we can endure (1 Cor 10:13). The Word of God teaches us in Proverbs 3:5-6 to trust in the LORD with all our heart and do not lean on our own understanding. In all our ways acknowledge Him, And He will make our paths straight. The path might get dark sometime, will probably be a longer than we’d expect, we may find ourselves in a really deep valley, or encounter some up hill battles. But the journey on the right path is worth it all!! It’s during our journey that our faith and trust in God becomes stronger, it becomes immovable and unshakable. It’s during this journey that we learn that the Lord is our Shepherd, our guide, our keeper. It’s during this journey that we learn that we are more than conquerors and we can do all things through Christ who strengthens and loves us (Rom 8:37, Phil 4:13). It’s during the journey that we learn and accept that through the blood of Jesus we have redemption from sin, that we have already been set free. We have protection from damnation and disgrace (Eph 1:14). We will no longer be tossed back and forth by the waves of life, nor are we blown here and there by every wind of false teaching, or deceitful scheming which will lead us only into further destruction (Eph 4:14) . While on this journey we find rest, peace and shelter in the presence of God (Ex 33:14). He is our cloud by day and fire by night (Ex 13:21-22). It’s on this journey that the Word of God encourages us ” Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls “(Matt 11:29).
Be blessed, keep God first and keep looking up,
