Be Encouraged and Encourage Someone Else

Hd Nature_1875

If God has pulled you out of the fire, set you free and there is not even a smell of smoke on you, don’t keep trying to run back into the burning building. As we are taught in Jer 29:11 God has someone/something so much better for you as we are taught in Jer 29:11 the Lord says “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”. If we keep looking backwards, we’ll never experience the great things that God has for us. We’ll never live to our full potential. We were not created on a mass production line. We were each given a special gift, created for a purpose (Eph 2:10, 1 Cor 12). When we are living in the purpose that God has for our lives we’re at our absolute best, our happiest. There is freedom in Christ, so take the blinders and shackles off.

Galatians 5:1 (NIV)

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Matthew 11:29(NLT)

29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Be blessed, keep God first and keep looking up,

Cheryl

We are so blessed that we are not under the law, but under grace (Rom 6:14). God has already blessed us with spiritual blessings, all we have to do is receive. Daily we should ask the Lord to give us spiritual wisdom and teach us His ways. Guide us in His truth, that we may rely on His faithfulness; and give us an undivided heart, that we will  fear His name (Ps 25, Ps 86:11) and help us to walk in the Spirit so we will not gratify the desires of our flesh (Gal 5:16).

Ephesians 1 (NLT)

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.[b] He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.

21 Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come.22 God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. 23 And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.

Be blessed, keep God first and keep looking up,

The Lord has blessed us with another day to give Him praise. When we praise miracles start to happen because God inhabits the praises of His people (Ps 22:3). Let’s not waste our time thinking or discussing negative matters. We are taught in Is 42: 16 that He will “lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them”. We will remain focused on the promises of God, not our circumstances. We will trust in the Lord with all our heart, and lean not on our own understanding in all your ways we will acknowledge Him, and He shall direct our paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). With God all things are possible (Matt 19:26). We will wait on the Lord and He will renew our strength; we will mount up with wings like eagles, we will run and not be weary, we will walk and not faint (Isa 10:31). God blesses us all to be a blessing. Be quick to give a kind word and show kindness to all (Heb 13:2). You might feel like the widow deep in debt and all she had with a little oil ( 2 Kings 4-7), seek God. He can multiply our little and turn it into an abundance.

Philippians 4:6-8(NLT)

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Be blessed, keep God first and keep looking up,

Cheryl

Why You Need To Be Your Own Boss

By Dr. Sinclair Grey III

I know I’m about to help some people and frighten others with the comment – you need to consider becoming an entrepreneur. Whether it’s full-time or part-time, I want you to know that your job isn’t promised. No matter if you’re working in the private sector or in the government, the truth of the matter is that you can be terminated, let go, and/or replaced at anytime. If that happens, then what? That’s why you need to control your own destiny through entrepreneurship. Here’s the Sinclair remix. No job can tell you how much you’re worth. What you bring to the table is more than what someone can pay you, so why not start your own and begin to see the fruits of your labor in a whole new way?

The Bible says, “Remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms His covenant, which He swore to your forefathers, as it is today.” Please don’t miss this. Don’t leave your future to other people. Hold on, I need to preach it like I feel it. If you pray about what to do and trust in the LORD to give you clarity, you will blow up from the floor up. As I close this message, I want to drop this in your spirit – if you decide to step out on faith in entrepreneurship, you have to surround yourself with other entrepreneurs. They will encourage you and strengthen you. The rewards of entrepreneurship greatly outweigh anything you could accomplish working for someone.

Praise for the Lord’s for His Faithfulness

God is our place of safety and His arms will hold us up forever (Deut 33:27). In God we find peace, love ,abundance, everything that we need. He is our Shepherd and provides all that we need (Ps 23, Mat 6:30-33). When we go through deep waters and troubles, rivers of difficulty, fires of oppression, He is with us. God will not let the enemy destroy us (Isa 43:2). Our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He already carried. He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our peace and well-being fell upon Him, And by His wounds we are healed (Isa 53:4-5).  He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification (Rom 4:25). Jesus set us free, therefore, we do not have to  live in bondage. We have to take the chains off mentally, physically and spiritually. Jesus has already paid in full, His blood covered it all. We do not have to pay twice. All we have to do is accept His gift to us. The devil is a deceiver and liar, so we need to shut the door in his face when he comes around trying to collect on an already paid debt.  In Psalm 100: 1-4 the Word of God encourages us all to “Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!  Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing.  Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture” Everyday (not just on Saturday or Sunday)- we should “enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name”.

Numbers 6:24-26 NIV

24 “‘“The Lord bless you
    and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you
    and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face toward you
    and give you peace.”

Be blessed, keep God first and keep looking up,

Happy Blessed Wednesday!!!

We should forget those things which are behind us so that we can move forward to those things which are ahead (Plil 3:13). It all starts in the mind. This can be challenging because the enemy wants to keep us in the past hurts, pain, guilt, sadness, abuse and condemnation. However the battle is not ours. We are taught in 2 Cor 10:4-6  to cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Jesus Christ. The more the thoughts, the more the cast down! Continuing to dwell on unpleasantness is not healing or forgiveness, it’s bondage and will hinder us from moving forward in the Lord. God will forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness , He will even purge our thoughts (1 John 1:9, 2 Cor 5:17). Where sin abounds God’s grace abounds even more (Rom 5:20) and His grace is sufficient  (2 Cor 12:9). Let’s not miss our daily blessings and the plans that God has for our lives by walking in the past. Stop dwelling on what could or should have been said or done, because none of us can unring a bell. Instead the Word of God encourages us to allow God to restore everything that the enemy has  stolen (Joel 2:25).

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NLT)

18 “But forget all that—
it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.
19 For I am about to do something new.
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

Be blessed, keep God first and keep looking up,

Happy Blessed Monday!!!

This is a day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. We will place all hope in the Lord, and the the LORD will renew our strength. We will soar on wings like eagles; we will run and not grow weary, we will walk and not be faint (IS 40:31). We will have hearts of forgiveness and love for all, pursuing what makes for peace and for building up one another (Rom 14:19)

Psalm 27(NLT)

The Lord is my light and my salvation—
so why should I be afraid?
The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger,
    so why should I tremble?
When evil people come to devour me,
when my enemies and foes attack me,
    they will stumble and fall.
Though a mighty army surrounds me,
my heart will not be afraid.
Even if I am attacked,
    I will remain confident.

Be blessed, keep God first and keep looking up,

Happy Blessed Friday!!!

We are so blessed…

Psalm 23(NLT)

The Lord is my shepherd;
I have all that I need.
He lets me rest in green meadows;
he leads me beside peaceful streams.
    He renews my strength.
He guides me along right paths,
    bringing honor to his name.
Even when I walk
    through the darkest valley,[a]
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
    protect and comfort me.
You prepare a feast for me
in the presence of my enemies.
You honor me by anointing my head with oil.
    My cup overflows with blessings.
Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will live in the house of the Lord
    forever.

and

Psalm 125:2 (NLT)

Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the Lord surrounds his people, both now and forever.

Be Encouraged and Encourage Someone Else

Happy Blessed Thursday

God wants us to live life to the fullest, in overflow. To live happy, joyous, peaceful, protected and prosperous lives no matter what our circumstances are, the Word of God teaches us in Joshua 1:8 “to study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do”. Everyday we should first start with God, as in Matthew 6:33 tells us to first seek the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto us. Pray daily asking God to remove all blessing blockers out of our path, and that we will not be a blessing blocker to anyone else. Let’s keep our hearts and thoughts pure ( Prov 4:23, Luke 6:45, 2 Cor 10:5)). Our speech is equally important, so we need to keep our tongue under control (James 3: 1-12). Otherwise it can do so much damage. Sometimes it hard to hold our tongue and things just start pouring out, or we’re caught off guard and something  might slip, and there are times that we just talk too much. Nothing catches God by surprise. Psalm 141:3 teaches us to ask God to take control of what we say, and guard our lips.

Colossians 4:6(NIV)

Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Ephesians 4:25-29 (NLT)

25 So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body. 26 And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.”[a] Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 for anger gives a foothold to the devil.

28 If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need. 29 Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

Proverbs 18:21(NLT)

21 The tongue can bring death or life;
those who love to talk will reap the consequences.

Be blessed, keep God first and keep looking up,

Happy Blessed Wednesday-

The Word of God teaches us though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage war in the flesh (2 Cor 10:3). Stop hating and trying to destroy your neighbor, our fight is not against flesh and blood. Pull back the shades and see the real enemy, it’s the devil (Eph 6:10-12). He created a lie of deception to make people think he doesn’t exist. He then goes about wreaking havoc, planting seeds such as anxiety, confusion, fear, hatred, illness, violence and murder. As children of God we need to pray and ask God to open the eyes of those that have been blinded by this lie. Pray that our Heavenly Father will also show us any area in our lives where the devil is trying to sneak in. Let’s put on the full armor of God and remove the enemy out of lives, our homes, our schools, our communities and even our churches.  Instead of lashing out, or making a bad decision that’s going to cause you even more trouble, step back from the situation and seek the Lord. Plead the Blood of Jesus over the circumstance. Seek God’s peace and His wisdom because He doesn’t always remove the thorns in our flesh (2 Cor 12:6-8).  They are there for His purpose in our lives, for our discipline, training and obedience. God is a God of order, He is not a God of confusion (1 Cor 14:33) and where sin and trouble abounds God’s grace abounds even more ( Rom 5:20),  and His grace is sufficient for every area of our lives (2 Cor 12:9).

Ephesians 6:13-18 (NLT)

13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.[b] 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.[c] 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.[d]

Be blessed, keep God first and keep looking up,

Cheryl
